Supporting the Path of Hope Foundation

What a great night at the Path Of Hope ball! It was fantastic to hear more about the wonderful work that Path of Hope is doing to break the cycle of domestic violence and to help domestic violence survivors rebuild their life. We felt particularly inspired by the work that the Salvation Army support workers are doing at the women's refuge as they help to give women who have gone through terrible ordeals a bit of hope.

RCP does Fringe!

After a great meeting, Rotaract Club of Perth members attended the Laugh Resort Comedy Showcase Spectacular at Rosie Ogrady's. We were treated to a number of entertaining Fringe comedians who were from WA or had flown in from the Eastern States. It was the perfect ending to a Wednesday night and a great way for our members to catch up and socialise.

Successful Toothbrush Packing Day for the Kimberley Dental Team!

The Kimberley Dental Team (KDT) was founded by Jan and John Owen in May 2009. Following a visit to Halls Creek, Jan and John became increasingly aware of the inequality of dental health care compared to that of metropolitan Perth. Jan and John committed to the development of a volunteer team of dental health personnel, the Kimberley Dental Team, to enhance current services and improve dental health literacy.

Strat Planning Weekend - Wrap Up

Between 31 August 2012 and 2 September 2012, the Board and some other Rotaractors went to Madora Bay for our annual strategic planning weekend.

The weekend was characterised by lots of fantastic food thanks to our resident chef Jacqui Ly, nerf wars thanks to our resident geeks Tristan Kolay and Meng Chua, and cool cocktails thanks to our resident bartender Dragan Koncar.
