Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House Make a Meal Program

RMHWA provides accommodation and assistance to families who live over 100 kms away from the Perth CBD, to allow parents to stay with their children while they undergo medical and specialist treatment for extended periods of time.    For some families, their stay at the House gives them moments and memories with their children that last a lifetime.

The Ronald McDonald House Make a Meal program enables volunteers to take part in the joy of cooking and sharing a meal with these families who, without RMHWA and the assistance of over 100 volunteer organisations, businesses and individuals in Perth, would not be able to spend this precious time with their children who are suffering from serious illnesses.

Following on from the amazing feast prepared by Rotaract Club of Perth volunteers on 21 December 2012, the Club will again take over the Ronald McDonald House kitchen to cook up a dinner for resident children and their families on Monday, 1 April 2013 (Easter Monday).

This is a very fun and popular project, so please register your interest early.  We are only able to have up to 15 volunteers on the team, so get in touch with Dragan Koncar (local.services@rotaractperth.org.au) to sign up.
